After getting backslash for their privacy policy issue, facebook owned messenger service is rolling out more features to the users recently. During the entire privacy policy saga, they reached out to the millions of users by updating the whatsapp status with posts regarding the privacy policy. Now, they are testing out support chat feature in Whatsapp which will make reporting bugs and issues to the company easier.
This feature is expected to roll out to both Android and Ios soon. But there is no clarification about whether the desktop client and web version will get this feature or not. According to the Beta information website WABetaInfo, this support chat will also be end to end encrypted and will be removed once the issue is fixed. As per the website, this feature will be shown under the heading “Contact us” under the settings menu. User can use the option to report a bug or issue. Once the user make a complaint and hit send button message will go to Whatsapp and they will contact the user in a separate message. Sending information about the device information along with the complaint has been left to user choice. But do remember, they may need the device information in order to solve some issues.
This option is not yet available to all and we will inform you once this rolled out to all the users. Keep checking this space for more updated information about whatsapp and other Apps
